First Day of School 2020

On Monday my babies started back to school. In these uncertain times we had different options on how we would begin school this year. We could do virtual public school, go back to the traditional classroom, or homeschool. At this point my husband and I decided that it would be best for our kiddos to be back in the traditional classroom. There isn't an easy choice about school in these crazy times. Our school is smaller, they are wearing masks, and taking social distancing precautions. We have prayed about our decision and feel we did what is best for our family. I am praying for the parents out there that are having to make choices about what to for school this year, please know I respect whatever choice you make and I know it's not easy.

How did my babies grow up so fast!?!

Brody's first last day of elementary school. 4th grade

Evie's first day of 2nd grade.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Fun During Our Extended Break From School

We have been enjoying ourselves during this extended summer. During Covid-19 school was done by packet/ online, dance by zoom and soccer was cancelled. Well thankfully we have finished the school year out. The kids had amazing teachers and we were so sad the year was cut short with them. Soccer and dance have started back up so the kiddos are excited to have their activities back in person.  During our time at home with no outside activities we had fun and accomplished lots. First we all found a show on Disney plus we all enjoyed, I remember it being on when I was a teenager. Now we are watching the original show that created the spin off series we finished.  Chris and I found a show we really enjoyed on Netflix, I can't wait for season 2 to come out. We also swam and played outside. We visited the bamboo park and also planted flowers ( that are still alive! ) I hope you all have a wonderful week! Hope

Pumpkin Patch 2020

We visited our local pumpkin patch yesterday. We were not able to go last year, so we were so happy to go this year. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny 70 degree day. It was very bright outside so it was hard to keep our eyes open for pictures. Haha.  We had so much fun in the corn maze, walking through the sunflower field, and playing in the big hay stack. We got to share some of our favorite foods boiled peanuts and nachos. Before we left we rode the hayride to pick our pumpkins and finished up the day with a funnel cake. I am so thankful for these sweet memories with my family. We will carve our pumpkins tonight and get ourselves prepped for the week ahead. I hope you have a wonderful week! Hope

10

I have neglected my little corner of the internet lately but I am back to post more life updates.  One major event was at the end of September this special boy turned 10! How in the world have ten years passed since this precious boy entered our lives?!?!? Chris and I wanted a baby so much. We prayed for this sweet boy for over a year. After a year of trying and some help from modern medicine we got a our gift from God in the form of our precious Brody Reid.  I miss the days of watching Dino Dan and Team Umizoomi with him, but it is amazing watching him grow into the big kid he is. Now his days are filled with soccer and Fortnite, but he hasn't lost his love for dinosaurs or Pokemon. We are so very blessed to raise this smart, funny, kind hearted boy.   Have a blessed week! Hope
