Living The Harris Life

 On Monday my babies started back to school. In these uncertain times we had different options on how we would begin school this year. We could do virtual public school, go back to the traditional classroom, or homeschool. At this point my husband and I decided that it would be best for our kiddos to be back in the traditional classroom. There isn't an easy choice about school in these crazy times. Our school is smaller, they are wearing masks, and taking social distancing precautions. We have prayed about our decision and feel we did what is best for our family. I am praying for the parents out there that are having to make choices about what to for school this year, please know I respect whatever choice you make and I know it's not easy.   How did my babies grow up so fast!?! This is just a little post about Brody's favorite new word. It is stuck. Everything is stuck. If he wants to get down he is stuck, if he wants to take his shirt off he is stuck, if you are in the spot he wants to be you are stuck and he wants to move you! It is so funny this little phase of stuckness he is going though. I just want to remeber these funny memories for many many years!! Sorry no pics with this post, but i will be posting birthday party pics, pumpkin patch, halloween decorations, and more very soon!!

I feel life has been in a whirl wind lately. The month of June and these first weeks of July have been super busy. Well on June 4th, Brody started daycare. I was so nervous the night before I barely slept. Brody was in home daycare that was ran by my sweet friend Jessica. With all the changes that happen in life it was time for Brody to be able to interact with more kids. The first day was awful. I cried all the way to work and called twice to check on Brody and see how he was doing. He did cry on and off most of the first day. Brody is very shy around new people and it takes him a while to open up. His teachers have been so patience and loving with him. I think it took him a good two weeks to get adjusted to the new routine. I love picking him up from daycare because i go in and get to watch what he is playing before he sees me, when he does see me he comes running for me to pick him up. It just melts my heart. I know this post my be a little TMI, but it is so i can rember everything we went through to have Brody. Chris and I starting trying to have a baby January 2009. I stopped taking the pill and we let nature take its course. Well I never started having periods after stopping the pill. I mean NONE. So i thought maybe i was pregenet, but no. We continued on thinking my normal flow would kick in and eveything would go back to normal on its on. It did not. So i continued to have no period up until July when i decied to go see my dr to see if she could tell me what was going on. Dr. Logan did bloodwork and ran tests. She ruled out PCOS, which would be the most common reason i was not having a period. So she started me on a drug called Provera to jump start my period. I believe that it is suppose to start your period with a certain number of days of taking it, it took a lot longer with me. I ended up having to take it twice before i started having a period. I can't believe that 8 months has already passed with Brody in our lives. What a fast and crazy 8 months it has been. So far Brody has.... gotten 2 bottom teeth and working on more which = one cranky baby! eats stage 2 baby food, loves sweet potatoes, squash, apples, pears, bananas, mac and cheese. does NOT like peaches, carrots, or baby meat. wears size 3 diapers weighs around 19 to 20 pounds is pulling up on everything! thinks that he must taste everything, loves to play with mama's cell phone, the house phone, and the any TV remote. Daddy and Brody love to sneak up and tap me on the shoulder, Brody thinks this is HILARIOUS! has had two ear infections and had to have breathing treatments for an upper respiratory infection. has an interest in Gigi, he hasn't quite figured her out yet.
