Brody is 22 Months!

I can't believe that my baby is almost 2! Time has flown, i know everybody says that but it seems like he was just learning to roll over and now he is full blown running.

- You weigh 27 pounds, and I'm not sure on your height, but everyone says you are tall and everyone thinks you are about 2 1/2 or 3.

-Wearing 2t shirts and 18 month shorts. Still long and lean!

- You had your first " real " hair cut this month and you acted like an angel! I kept putting off getting it cut because i liked it long. You kept being mistaken for a girl so i finally did. I'm glad we did it is adorable!

-You are still a picky eater but you love to eat what you like which includes, corn, cheese, bratwurst, pizza, apples, pineapple, carrots, grapes, chicken, pork chops, sometimes mac and cheese, french fries, ramen noodles, oatmeal squares.

- You have several words that you are very good at saying like, dada, daddy, mama, my mama, maw maw, paw paw, nana, kk ( Chris' sister ), No, Oh no, bye bye, dan ( which is your favorite show), juice, gigi, wow, cup, cheese, apple. You love to babble all the time. You also still love to rock out in the car to daddy's music.

- You also love to make animal sounds. We ask you what sounds a horse, dog, cow, kitty cat make, you will make that animal's sound. You have done horse and cow for a while now. The funniest are the cat because you move your head from side to side and meow and the dog you whisper a bark. We love it. The newest is the tiger, you rawr and raise you little hands up like claws.

-You still love your pappy and you are becoming less attached to your lovie. You are starting to talk more so you have been taking out your pappy to talk.

-You love other kids so much, every time you see other kids you immedilty think you need to talk and play with them.

- This past month you have had RSV and a double ear infection. Which both have barely slowed you down. Mama stayed home with you yesterday to take you to the dr for your ears and we had a great day at home playing.

- You love to practice golf with daddy but prefer to use daddy's clubs rather than the ones that mama and daddy got for you.

-You love to wrestle with us and hide under the covers in mama and daddy's bed and put you finger to your lips and say shhhhh. It's so funny.

-You love to wear hats and shoes. Just the other day you had this on and would not let me take it off of you!

We love you so much Brody you make us laugh and smile everyday. I can't believe you are growing so fast. You have such a funny and sweet personality. You are still shy sometimes but have really starting opening up more around new people. We love you Bro Bro!

Pumpkin Patch 2020

We visited our local pumpkin patch yesterday. We were not able to go last year, so we were so happy to go this year. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny 70 degree day. It was very bright outside so it was hard to keep our eyes open for pictures. Haha.  We had so much fun in the corn maze, walking through the sunflower field, and playing in the big hay stack. We got to share some of our favorite foods boiled peanuts and nachos. Before we left we rode the hayride to pick our pumpkins and finished up the day with a funnel cake. I am so thankful for these sweet memories with my family. We will carve our pumpkins tonight and get ourselves prepped for the week ahead. I hope you have a wonderful week! Hope

Father's Day Weekend

Our weekend was filled with swimming, soccer, food, and relaxing. We swam at my in laws on Saturday (I totally forgot to get any pictures ) before Brody had soccer scrimmages. We are happy to be back at the fields. We are taking precautions and the kids are happy to be back playing together again. My hubby is happy to be back coaching too. It makes to so happy to see my boys do what they love. It was so HOT at soccer so the kids are having to make sure they take lots of breaks and stay well hydrated. Summertime in Alabama is no joke. Sunday we visited my Daddy and took him some goodies. Mostly we just relaxed and hung out around the house. We had leftover pork from Saturday and made some sides for supper. Brownie sundaes were for dessert. Chris also cut up a watermelon we picked up at Aldi so we can snack on it this week. Chris and I watched House Hunters while the Brody and Evie played in the backyard with a few neighborhood kids until it was starting to get late. We love all the extr...

First Day of School 2020

On Monday my babies started back to school. In these uncertain times we had different options on how we would begin school this year. We could do virtual public school, go back to the traditional classroom, or homeschool. At this point my husband and I decided that it would be best for our kiddos to be back in the traditional classroom. There isn't an easy choice about school in these crazy times. Our school is smaller, they are wearing masks, and taking social distancing precautions. We have prayed about our decision and feel we did what is best for our family. I am praying for the parents out there that are having to make choices about what to for school this year, please know I respect whatever choice you make and I know it's not easy.   How did my babies grow up so fast!?! Brody's first last day of elementary school. 4th grade Evie's first day of 2nd grade.  I hope you all have a wonderful week! Hope
