Just some randomness for a Monday

Hello blog world! Long time no posts but this is really not unusal for me. We had a really good weekend, it started off rough but ended well.

Chris came home Friday ( at normal time yay!! ) He did not have to work Saturday, which is awesome because 6, 10 hour days makes a nice paycheck but hard on family life, but was not feeling good. He toughed it out and went to Walmart with me, but by the time we got home he was headed down hill fast. Saturday morning came around and he was feeling worse. He had a tooth pulled on Thrusday but that wasn't bothering him. He was aching, thoart hurting and just felt miserable. So after much debate he went to urgent care. He ended up being the only patient there and was dinosged with a  bad sinus infection and Dr. Floyd he was basically exhasuted and needed some rest. He got a Zpak, cortizone shot, and cough syrup and that fixed him right up. Brody and I played all day Saturday and Chris was able to get some good rest. By Sunday he was feeling lots better. We made use of our zoo pass Sunday and took Brody. The weather was so pretty and not too cold. Brody had a blast looking at animals and playing on the playgroud. He was even going down the big slides by himself! Lastly we rode the Choo Choo and headed home. He feel alsleep right before we got home but that did not last. He ended up skipping his nap and we played the rest of the day. Chris cooked us an awesome supper of grilled chicken, corn on the cob, white chedder mac and cheese, and i baked some brownies after supper. Brody was getting so tried so Chris bathed him and we watched some Team Umizoom. We got in bed about 7:55 and Brody was out by 8. He was worn out! I'm glad my hubby is feeling bettter and this weekend really made me appericate all he does with Brody and what an awesome Husband and Daddy he is. The man even brought me a rose home from when he was picking up his prescription! I love you babe, we don't what we would do without you! Sorry no pictures my camera battery died!

Pumpkin Patch 2020

We visited our local pumpkin patch yesterday. We were not able to go last year, so we were so happy to go this year. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny 70 degree day. It was very bright outside so it was hard to keep our eyes open for pictures. Haha.  We had so much fun in the corn maze, walking through the sunflower field, and playing in the big hay stack. We got to share some of our favorite foods boiled peanuts and nachos. Before we left we rode the hayride to pick our pumpkins and finished up the day with a funnel cake. I am so thankful for these sweet memories with my family. We will carve our pumpkins tonight and get ourselves prepped for the week ahead. I hope you have a wonderful week! Hope

First Day of School 2020

On Monday my babies started back to school. In these uncertain times we had different options on how we would begin school this year. We could do virtual public school, go back to the traditional classroom, or homeschool. At this point my husband and I decided that it would be best for our kiddos to be back in the traditional classroom. There isn't an easy choice about school in these crazy times. Our school is smaller, they are wearing masks, and taking social distancing precautions. We have prayed about our decision and feel we did what is best for our family. I am praying for the parents out there that are having to make choices about what to for school this year, please know I respect whatever choice you make and I know it's not easy.   How did my babies grow up so fast!?! Brody's first last day of elementary school. 4th grade Evie's first day of 2nd grade.  I hope you all have a wonderful week! Hope

Just a Few Things I Am Thankful For

Just a few things I am thankful for Polka dot rain boots and pretty leaves while running errands. Pretty fall flowers from my sweet hubby. A cute hat for days I don't want to fix my hair. Also a happy puppy waiting for her people to get out of school.  I hope your week is going wonderfully! Hope
