A Little Winter Getaway

This past weekend Chris was a groomsman in one of our friend's weddings. The wedding took place in Fort Morgan so it was a great excuse for us to make a weekend of it. Chris and I have always loved the Gulf Shores/ Ft. Morgan area and we were thrilled to take Brody on his first visit there. I was a little sacered about a three hour car ride. Brody has never been a child that is ok with being in his car seat for any length of time. So on Saturday morning we got up at 3AM and put Brody in his carseat and hit the road. Brody did great and slept all the way to Robertsdale. We stopped at Burger King ate breakfast and got back on the road to find the house were Michael and Noelle's wedding was going to be. After we got to the house we bundled Brody up and took him out to the beach, he loved it! I think that he thought it was one giant sand box. He also loved looking at the birds on the beach and he had a great time collecting shells. I can't wait to take him back when t...

No Title Needed

13 People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16 And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16 Happy Friday!!!

Trying for Brody

I know this post my be a little TMI, but it is so i can rember everything we went through to have Brody. Chris and I starting trying to have a baby January 2009. I stopped taking the pill and we let nature take its course. Well I never started having periods after stopping the pill. I mean NONE. So i thought maybe i was pregenet, but no. We continued on thinking my normal flow would kick in and eveything would go back to normal on its on. It did not. So i continued to have no period up until July when i decied to go see my dr to see if she could tell me what was going on. Dr. Logan did bloodwork and ran tests. She ruled out PCOS, which would be the most common reason i was not having a period. So she started me on a drug called Provera to jump start my period. I believe that it is suppose to start your period with a certain number of days of taking it, it took a lot longer with me. I ended up having to take it twice before i started having a period. After that we still had no luck get...

Things I'm Loving!

Here are some of the things I'm loving lately! My Vera Bradley wristlet that my sweet hubby got me for Valentine's day. It's so handy for me to grab out of my purse and throw in the diaper dag so i don't have two bags and a baby to hold. Chris got me it in Rosey Posey, it such a cute pink pattern. I love it! My new Toms, i have been wanting a pair for a while and finally broke down and got some, Brody and I both need new shoes so we got a pair alike. There are so cute and go with anything. We also love the one for one project. You can learn more about it here, www.toms.com Seersucker fabric, I can not wait to bust out the sewing machine and make Brody some cute shorts for summer! This mama might have to make her a tote bag, because that Amy Butler fabric is too cute to pass up! I LOVE the big oranges dots! Last but not least, Adele Panadora Channel, she has such a beauitful voice. I love listening to her at work, it makes things so much more relxing...

He loved it, we have been to the Zoo a few times before with him but he really got into this time. He espically LOVED the Warthog, it was the first animal we saw and he was really close and palying in the mud and Brody just couldn't take his eyes off him! ( i forgot my camera that day : ( boo! ) Also for Brody's bithday Chris and I gave him a camo four wheeler and i bet you can guess who picked that out, Brody loves it he just hasn't got steering down so you have to chase him when he drives it the house so he doesn't take out Gigi! Brody has had strep 3 TIMES in about a 2 month period, but praise the Lord it has finally gone away and i hope it stays away.
