Brody is 22 Months!

I can't believe that my baby is almost 2! Time has flown, i know everybody says that but it seems like he was just learning to roll over and now he is full blown running. - You weigh 27 pounds, and I'm not sure on your height, but everyone says you are tall and everyone thinks you are about 2 1/2 or 3. -Wearing 2t shirts and 18 month shorts. Still long and lean! - You had your first " real " hair cut this month and you acted like an angel! I kept putting off getting it cut because i liked it long. You kept being mistaken for a girl so i finally did. I'm glad we did it is adorable! -You are still a picky eater but you love to eat what you like which includes, corn, cheese, bratwurst, pizza, apples, pineapple, carrots, grapes, chicken, pork chops, sometimes mac and cheese, french fries, ramen noodles, oatmeal squares. - You have several words that you are very good at saying like, dada, daddy, mama, my mama, maw maw, paw paw, nana, kk ( Chris' sister ...

What I'm Loving This Monday!

Here are a few of the things that I am loving this Monday! This totally adorable iphone cover I found on Etsy. It's so classic with the sweet shillouet and modern with the chevron. I am planning on getting a iphone sometime in September, so hopefully i can get this cover with a shillouete of my sweet B on it, i just can't decide the colors. Maybe teal and gray? Here's the link to find it on etsy http://www.etsy.com/listing/104741931/chevron-and-silhouette-iphone-cell-phone? These super cute mongrammed koozies, of course i found them on Etsy. I can't decide if I like the pink seersucker or the aqua seersucker better. These should make my goal of drinking more water alot easier becuase it make the bottle pretty! Haha!  Here's the link where to find 'em http://www.etsy.com/listing/100196869/personalized-koozie ? I have been watching Bristol Palin's new show on Lifetime " Life's a Tripp ". I have always been intrigued by the ...

Brody Lately

I feel life has been in a whirl wind lately. The month of June and these first weeks of July have been super busy. Well on June 4th, Brody started daycare. I was so nervous the night before I barely slept. Brody was in home daycare that was ran by my sweet friend Jessica. With all the changes that happen in life it was time for Brody to be able to interact with more kids. The first day was awful. I cried all the way to work and called twice to check on Brody and see how he was doing. He did cry on and off most of the first day. Brody is very shy around new people and it takes him a while to open up. His teachers have been so patience and loving with him. I think it took him a good two weeks to get adjusted to the new routine. I love picking him up from daycare because i go in and get to watch what he is playing before he sees me, when he does see me he comes running for me to pick him up. It just melts my heart. For the last week has not cried when I drop him off, but has started to ge...

Brody's Birth Story Part One

I know that this post is almost 2 years late, but this is for our memories and anybody else who cares to read it. I am a VERY planned person. I like to plan everything. So like with everything in my life, I thought I would have Mr. Brody’s birth planned and everything would go the way I thought. Let’s just say that Brody did not agree with the plan I had and thought he would make his entrance differently. The following are the days leading up to Brody’s birth. September 23 rd , 2010 I went to my appointment with Dr. Logan. She checked me and I had not dilated any nor had Brody dropped any. My blood pressure and Brody’s heart were good. My feet were swollen huge and I felt as big as a house. I was very slow moving but over all I felt good. Brody’s due date was 10-10-10, but I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday the 7 th . I figured I would be overdue with Brody since I showed no progression towards labor, and Dr. Logan would not be on call on Brody’s due date. Also Ch...

Baby Items We Harris' Love

There are some of the things that are used on a daily basis by the smallest Harris in the house. Here's a list of some of our favorite baby/ toddler products Soothie Pacifers aka Pap Pap Jeep Jogging Stroller, retails for , luckily Jessica found mine on a online yard sale for 40.00, score! It is great in crowds and are trips to the zoo. Angel Dear Lovies, Brody has a Blue lamb, brown bear, giraffe, and duck. He likes to gather them all up before bed and take them with him. He usually always has one close by. I just found out they make a bigger one called a napping blanket. I would love to get him one! Nuby sippy cups, this is the only sippy cup Brody likes. I have no problem with that since he took his self off his bottle for it at 13 months. The beloved Pap Pap will be another story. Aveeno Baby Wash, Brody had sesitive skin and ecezam so we use this and oatmeal lotion on him, plus it smells oh so good! Publix makes an off brand of this that is...

A Little Winter Getaway

This past weekend Chris was a groomsman in one of our friend's weddings. The wedding took place in Fort Morgan so it was a great excuse for us to make a weekend of it. Chris and I have always loved the Gulf Shores/ Ft. Morgan area and we were thrilled to take Brody on his first visit there. I was a little sacered about a three hour car ride. Brody has never been a child that is ok with being in his car seat for any length of time. So on Saturday morning we got up at 3AM and put Brody in his carseat and hit the road. Brody did great and slept all the way to Robertsdale. We stopped at Burger King ate breakfast and got back on the road to find the house were Michael and Noelle's wedding was going to be. After we got to the house we bundled Brody up and took him out to the beach, he loved it! I think that he thought it was one giant sand box. He also loved looking at the birds on the beach and he had a great time collecting shells. I can't wait to take him back when t...
